THE PAIRINGS

💓 Triple Creme Brie + Chocolate Buttercream: These two together create the most decadent, sweet and salty combination. Tastes like a creamy chocolate cake.

Pair with Champagne: The most decadent duo, nothing says Valentine’s like a crisp glass of champagne. The bubbles act as a crisp palate cleanser for the buttery texture of both the chocolate and cheese.

💓 Gouda + Chocolate Caramels: The caramel really brings out the subtle sweet notes in the gouda making for a rich and nutty bite. Almost tastes like a snickers!

Pair with Riesling: Riesling makes for a great wine pairing with caramel notes, and the slight sweetness of the wine can stand up against the sharp, nutty gouda.

💓 Goat Brie + Strawberry Cream Chocolates: The super gooey brie has a nice subtle milky flavor that ties in well with the fruity strawberry. It reminds me of a strawberry shortcake.

Pair with Sparkling Rose: The fruity notes in the rose tie into the strawberry notes in the chocolate, while the bubbles break through the creaminess of the cheese.

💓 Sharp Cheddar + Peanut Clusters: This one took me by surprise, cheddar and peanuts are a great salty complement and the chocolate rounds out the bite with some sweetness.

Pair with Pinot Noir: The dark cherry and fruity notes of the pinot noir act as a lovely complement to the peanut and chocolate, almost creating an elevated peanut butter and jelly flavor profile.

💓 Blue Cheese + Chocolate Truffles: The dark chocolate stands up to the intensity of the blue making for a luxurious bite.

Pair with Merlot: A bold red like merlot can complement the rich and intense flavors of blue cheese, while the chocolate sweetness rounds out the bite.
